Episode 5 in production!

Episode 5 had a late start to its filming however it was worth the wait as all the extra's gathered in the party room for the opening scenes of the 5th episode in the series. "Looking at it", comments Allan. "This is a good one, a nice contrast to episode 2 which was much more scary and serious". The series release dates have been confirmed however the production crew hesitate to release date further to stop any stress when filming.

Production begins on episode 5...

With all 4 filming days confirmed production on episode 5 begins Tuesday 14th June and it seems that this is destined to be the most hectic shoot yet. "This time we've not just got me, Lauren and Jake to worry about", comments Allan on the dawn of the film-shoot. "We have a whole hurdle of extras to deal with also and not only that I have to perform my most ridicules yet", he blushes. "I must say I'm rather nervous of what is to come".
Filming on episode 5 is not the only thing that has begun, work on episode 3's script is almost complete and the cast number for the episode has raised its stakes preparing for a beautiful mid series finale...

Episode 3 cast confirmed!

Allan Rafferty's Doctor Who fan series just never stops work! With two episodes in the can now, episode 5  completed in script form and episode 3 planned and cast like never before, it looks as though this fan series will certainly be a one to watch. Confirmed in Episode 3 are Chris Kenna, host of the Sky chat show "The Chris Kenna show" will be making an appearance as "the assassin", also joining him will be Eric Cambell as "The Bounty Hunter" and Chris Williams will be taking the part of "the president".
"This is why we love Doctor who", comments the show runner Allan Rafferty. " It can take you anywhere in the universe and while one day you can be working on a horror film, as in episode 2, the next you will be working on a gangster film as in episode 3". Jacob Kay continues for him; " I think the fact that we have such a versatile and varied series planned makes it even more appealing".
Filming for episode 5 will begin in late June, after Allan's exam and then Episode 3 will take place in the summer holidays as the last two scripts begin work.

Keep your eyes open for future confirmations of cast and hints of episodes, the series is getting ever nearer!

Scary music...

So yesterday I completed the edit suite on episode 2 and I must say its looking rather good, does life ever slow down when it comes to my who fan series? No. No sooner have a spent the night trolling through you tube finding scary themes and sound effects and added the colour grading do I have a five minute rest... And that's all it is, the Doctor who episode 5 file is screaming to be opened and finished! Part of me wants to just start it and type until all of episode 5 and episode 3 are finished, but of course I don't work like that, art takes time and if rushed then that is how the story will feel.
And then there is my exam, oh dear my exam. I mean its a bit of a bummer that we won't be filming episode 5 until I've finished that exam but ah well, this just gives me time to overtake the production schedule and get all of the first 5 episodes scripted, 2 obviously already are as both have been complete in the production and the best part is I never have to think of another play area as long as I live, the amount of people who interrupted us during the day is absolutely impossible! I could not believe my eyes, the second the camera was rolling kids just ran in and overpopulated the place making our lives harder and the editing of the first draft quite unbearable!
In other news our new CGI expert, Daniel Sharrett has done an amazing job on the second episode and as episode 5 needs CGI quite a lot he has definitely injected hope into all of us working on the project, now then episode 5, what is it like? Light hearted and easy on the soul which is a nice contrast to episode 2 the most horrific piece of drama I've ever produced. Episode 5 guest starring the wonderful Mandy Simpson, she taught me nearly everything I know that woman and now we're working with her! And not to forget some familiar faces too, I won't say any more as this is in the second half of the series and you haven't even seen the first!
Well stay tuned folks, because we're not going any where, by 2012 we will have 7 episodes broadcast, a 6 episode series and a Christmas special, thats right Christmas...

well on that note, look out for more updates!

Many upsets for a good episode...

Episode two finished filming today! I say this and think again as there are some shots that are still to be reshot due to bad members of the general public, I mean how dare they? Allowing their children to use a public play area disgraceful! And that is not all, this episode is such a beautiful on location episode that was just brilliant to film and even if my subscribers don't like the story (though I certainly hope they do) it is worth watching just for the pure beauty of the scenery.
Thankfully all stress ends today and the editing process should be a little more laid back this time, as most of the CGI shots are easy peasy and I can sit at home editing and scaring myself like I did last night. Oh yes, last night was dedicated to the pretitles and now that I think about it the fact that they were scarring me and I was the one that wrote it makes me happy as I know that other people are more than likely going to pick up on the pure creepiness, our cast members have been excellent, the crew yet again have baffled me at just how flexible they are.
Not much I can say on the day without leaking spoilers but I can promise that this episode is just the follow up that the first one needed and we are heading ever closer to the day when episode 1 is released...
Stay tuned folks!
