Episode Three: Forever Dreaming

Starring: Allan Rafferty, Lauren Anderson, Tim Rutherford, Josh Walsh
Written by: Jonathan Morris
Directed by: Jacob Kay

Quote, unquote:
The Guide: After all, we gave all the tomorrow's in the world
Jess: All the tomorrow's in the world?
The Guide: Once you've fallen down the kaleidoscope baby, there's no going back. For you. For me. For all of us.

In a nutshell...
Jess is being chased in her dreams, her life isn't making any sense and her boyfriend feels familiar, but with a growing unfamiliarity, was she really born in the 1960's? Why is her life so mixed up? And what is it that lurks within the shadows?

"The comic version managed to entine Allan and Jacob to create it, so what is it that makes this one so unique?"

"It's very Moffat", comments wrestling/film making you tube star, Luke Walters as he watches through episode 3 of Raffert and Kay's take one Doctor who. This is in some ways a mid series finale with a twist; no Doctor! Originally Allan and Jacob had prepared a big mid series finale that would have more questions and confusion for the main series finale, but die to lack of cast commitment the episode had to be scrapped.
Forever dreaming was always going to be an episode in the series and began with Allan's original starting point of being something like the Trueman Show.
I wanted the audience to be confused from the start of the episode", explained Allan. "And then go on to make them more confused until the very last scene! We certainly achieved this but soon found new inspiration." It was on the same month that planning for the Doctor who Series begun that Doctor who magazine published it's new comic "Forever Dreaming" by Jonathan Morris.
"We'd heard of comic adaptations before:, Allan went on. "Doctor who had done it before and our friend Jaime Carroll had also adapted his fair few and we thought it worked".
"Jonathan Morris has done a very good job on the comic and we wanted to use it to produce something he would be proud of", Jacob Kay takes over. "We decided that we'd take various themes and gave the bad guys our own name too".
Although this episode doesn't give the same amount of clues as it's original counterpart, it does establish a certain growing plot in the series and shows Jess choosing to join the Doctor might not just have been her love of history, make sure you don't miss it!

Doctor Who Playtime Preview...

So you've seen Set in Stone... but now check out the preview to Playtime...

Episode Two: Playtime

Starring Allan Rafferty, Lauren Anderson, Fern Selby-Purgaive
Written by Allan Rafferty and Jacob Kay
Directed by Jacob Kay

Quote, unquote:
The Doctor We're on the Nexonian core, legends say there's something wrong with the gravitational shift, pulls you down to the centre planet, quite like the mystery of the Bermuda triangle.
Lynda They say there is a monster here that takes you before you have time to repair your ship.
Jess Monster?
The Doctor Yes, and I like monsters...monster's are fun.

In a nutshell...
When something hacks the TARDIS and sends it leaping from reality to defend itself, the Doctor and Jess find themselves stranded on the Nexonian core. Somethings not right with the planet, the Doctor can sense that from the moment he steps foot on it. But with the TARDIS still in repair and a monster tracking them fast, can the two survive to win the Nexor's game?

"So Night Terror's had you hiding behind your pillow, but be prepared to take the leap behind your whole couch as you join the Doctor on the Nexonian core..."

Now we've seen Jess meet the Doctor, but what follows that is the all important first trip in the TARDIS, will she walk on another planet, meet aliens from a distant moon or find herself running very fast from some Monster? Well the answer to this comes in the form of the Nexor, an alien that lives at the Nexonian core which hunts down its prey.
Toys.
From the moment the Doctor and Jess first arrive there is a creepy feel to the place which is surrounded by toys.
"These may or may not be a hint towards what's behind all of this", claims Rafferty.  "we thought that anyones childhood nightmare is to be stalked by living toys..." He trails off mysteriously, playtime is already set to be the spookiest and by far most scary episode of this series of who. "We wanted to start off by throwing the Doctor into a situation when he can't escape", explains Jacob. "Taking the TARDIS off him within the first few minutes and letting the audience and the Doctor alike feel hopeless".
Trapped in the monster's game, this episode was inspired by some of the horrible greats such as The Omen and Saw and of course there is still a hint of Doctor who.
"Usually I wouldn't be caught dead near a horror", explains Rafferty. "But this just increased the appeal really"
In the first episode the Doctor was funny, eccentric and had everything under control, in this episode the Doctor finds himself officially meeting his match, waiting with no plan of action except to play the game fairly. "This episode shows a very dark side of my Doctor", explains Allan. "You get to see how willing he is to take risks to save the day".
More clues of the series finale are plastered into this episode so be sure to watch out...or the Nexor might get you!
